Terms of Use

Effective 2026-08-04 · Last updated 2026-08-04

Draft notice. The operator's legal entity name and governing jurisdiction have not been filled in yet (legal.entityName, legal.governingLaw in site.config.json). These terms are not final until they are.

The short version. Fennec is a to-do app you talk to. Be 18 or older, don't abuse it, and remember the AI is guessing — always check the tasks before you confirm them. Fennec Pro renews automatically until you cancel it in your App Store settings. Your tasks are yours.

1. The agreement

These terms are a contract between you and PLACEHOLDER_LEGAL_ENTITY ("we", "us") covering the Fennec: Voice to To-Do List apps for iPhone, Apple Watch and Mac, and the website at https://getfennec.app (together, "Fennec"). By creating an account or using Fennec you accept these terms. If you don't accept them, please don't use Fennec.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data and forms part of this agreement.

2. Who may use Fennec

You must be 18 or older to create a Fennec account. If you are using Fennec on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you may bind that organisation to these terms.

3. What Fennec does

Fennec records what you say, turns it into text on your device, and uses an AI service to suggest individual tasks with a list and a due date. You review those suggestions and confirm them before anything is saved. Fennec also offers optional reminders and optional Apple Calendar sync.

Fennec is a personal productivity tool. It is not a medical device, a therapeutic product, an accessibility aid you should rely on in an emergency, or a system of record for anything that matters legally or financially. Don't use it to store the only copy of something you cannot lose.

4. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and for what happens under your account. Give us accurate information, and tell us at support@getfennec.app if you think someone else has access to it. One person, one account — don't share it.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules, or that puts the service or other people at risk.

6. Your content

Your messages and tasks belong to you. We claim no ownership of them.

To actually run the service, you give us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, copy, transmit and display your content — solely to operate Fennec for you, to sync it between your devices, to send it to the AI provider that extracts your tasks, and to back it up. That's the whole purpose of the licence, and it ends when you delete the content or your account.

We do not use your messages or tasks to train AI models, our own or anyone else's.

You are responsible for keeping your own copies of anything important. See the Privacy Policy for how to request deletion or a copy of your data.

7. AI suggestions

The tasks, categories, dates and times Fennec proposes are produced by an automated system and can be wrong. It may mishear you, invent a due date, put something in the wrong list, or miss a task entirely.

That is exactly why Fennec shows you the extracted list and waits for you to confirm it. Check the suggestions before you confirm them. We are not responsible for a missed appointment, a forgotten errand, or any other consequence of relying on an AI suggestion without checking it.

8. Fennec Pro and billing

Fennec is free to try. Fennec Pro is an optional paid subscription, offered monthly or yearly, and sometimes with a free trial period.

9. Changes and availability

Fennec is a product under active development. Features may be added, changed or removed, and the app depends on services from Apple and other providers that can themselves change or go down. We don't promise uninterrupted or error-free service.

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we'll give reasonable notice in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use Fennec after that means you accept the updated terms.

10. Ending the agreement

You may stop using Fennec at any time, and can have your account deleted by emailing support@getfennec.app. We may suspend or end your access if you materially break these terms, or if we have to for legal or security reasons — we'll tell you why unless we're legally prevented from doing so.

If we discontinue Fennec entirely, we'll give you reasonable notice and a way to get your data out.

11. Our intellectual property

The Fennec name, logo, artwork, copy and software are ours and are protected by intellectual property law. These terms give you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the app on devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store rules — and nothing more.

12. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent the law allows, Fennec is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.

Some countries don't allow those exclusions. If you're a consumer, you keep every right your local law gives you, and nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, for lost profits or lost data, or for anything arising from your reliance on an AI suggestion you did not check.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you for all claims in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for Fennec in that period, or 50 EUR.

14. Apple

These terms are between you and us, not Apple, and Apple is not responsible for Fennec or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide any support or maintenance for Fennec. If Fennec fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price of the app; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to Fennec.

We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claim relating to Fennec, including product liability claims, any claim that Fennec fails to conform to a legal requirement, and claims arising under consumer protection or similar legislation. We, not Apple, are responsible for investigating and defending any third-party claim that Fennec infringes that party's intellectual property rights.

You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties. You must also comply with any third-party terms that apply when using Fennec. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of PLACEHOLDER_JURISDICTION, and disputes will be heard by the courts of PLACEHOLDER_JURISDICTION. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, or of your right to bring proceedings there.

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
