Email support
Questions, bugs, refunds, account deletion, or just telling us Fennec put "call mum" in the Groceries list. We aim to reply within 2 working days.
support@getfennec.appWhat to tell us
You don't have to, but these four things turn a two-week back-and-forth into one reply:
- which device — iPhone, Apple Watch or Mac — and which OS version;
- what you expected to happen, and what happened instead;
- roughly when it happened;
- your Support ID — find it in Preferences in the app; tap to copy it.
Please don't email us passwords. We will never ask for one.
Common fixes
Jump to a problem
Fennec can't hear me
Fennec needs two separate iOS permissions: Microphone and Speech Recognition. Open the iOS Settings app, scroll to Fennec, and check both are on. If the app never asked, it's usually because permission was denied once — the switches in Settings are the way back.
My words come out wrong
Transcription is done by Apple's speech recognition on your device, in the language your device is set to. If you speak a different language than your device's, switch the dictation language in Settings → General → Keyboard. Background noise and Bluetooth microphones are the usual other culprits.
Tasks land in the wrong list
Fennec guesses the category from what you said, and it does get it wrong. You can edit or remove any task in the confirmation step before it saves. In Preferences you can define your own categories, and turn off Fennec's ability to invent new ones so it only ever uses your list.
My Watch dictation isn’t reaching my iPhone
The Watch app hands the text to the iPhone app over Apple's local device link. Make sure both devices are paired and nearby, Bluetooth or Wi-Fi is on, and the Fennec app has been opened at least once on the iPhone since you last restarted it. Opening Fennec on the phone usually flushes anything waiting.
Tasks aren’t showing up in Apple Calendar
Calendar sync is off by default. Turn on Dated tasks → Calendar in Preferences and grant calendar access when asked. Only confirmed tasks that have a date sync: a task with a specific time becomes a timed event, a task with only a date becomes an all-day event. Undated tasks never sync.
I’m not getting my daily reminders
Reminders are scheduled locally on your device, so they need notification permission: check Settings → Notifications → Fennec. Then confirm the morning and evening times in Preferences. Focus modes and Low Power Mode can also hold notifications back.
I subscribed but Pro isn’t unlocked
Open Preferences and tap Restore purchases, making sure you're signed into the same Apple ID that bought the subscription. If it still doesn't appear, email us your Support ID from Preferences and we'll look it up.
Managing or cancelling a subscription
Subscriptions are billed by Apple, so they're managed in your Apple ID settings: Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal and you keep Pro until the current period ends. Refunds are handled by Apple — the terms explain how.
Resetting your password
Use "Forgot password" on the sign-in screen and we'll email you a reset link. If you created your account with Sign in with Apple, there is no Fennec password to reset — keep using the Sign in with Apple button.
Deleting your account
There isn't a delete button in the app yet. Email support@getfennec.app from the address on your account and we'll permanently delete the account and everything in it — messages, tasks and preferences — within 30 days. The same address handles requests for a copy of your data.
Deleting your Fennec account does not cancel an active App Store subscription. Cancel that separately in your Apple ID settings first.
Anything else
The FAQ on the home page covers how Fennec works and what happens to your voice. The privacy policy sets out exactly what is collected and who processes it, and the terms of use cover accounts, billing and the fine print.
